Thailand, Vietnam and South Korea all offer placements of 6 months or less, perfect for a career break or gap period.
Opportunities to extend are available, subject to school vacancies, visa requirements and contract renewal. TFT does not charge an additional programme fee to extend.

Teach in Thailand
Spend five months living and teaching in Thailand with a large group of other graduates. You'll complete a 4.5-month paid teaching contract, earn 30,000+ THB per month, and receive TEFL training, visa guidance and support before and throughout your placement. No teaching experience is needed. Departures take place every May and October.

Every May and October, a large group of TFT participants travels to Thailand together. Before departure, you'll join a private community group where you can meet the other teachers, discuss flights and begin making plans. Once you arrive, you'll take part in orientation and settle into life in Thailand before beginning your 4.5-month teaching contract. The programme is designed for first-time teachers looking for an accessible way to live abroad, gain international work experience and explore Thailand while earning a monthly salary.

How It Works
- Hold a bachelor's degree (or will have by departure)
- Be a native English speaker (EU passport holders and non-native speakers with strong English also welcome; a language test may be required)
- Accept applicants from UK, USA, Canada, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa
- Able to pass a criminal record check

Good to Know
You can choose a placement that comes with funded housing (mainly in smaller to medium-size towns). For bigger cities, you'll need to pay for accommodation from your salary. Typically very basic but good standard for Thailand. Deposit around £150, utilities about £15-20 per month.
Factor in visa costs, criminal record check, degree authentication, flights, insurance, and initial rent deposit. The 4 to 6 month pre-departure process allows ample time to save and spread out expenses.
